Coincidentally with the American National election, Under the Radar magazine released their “Protest Issue” featuring numerous artists broadcasting their PROTEST BANNERS, showing the world what they believe in and what they are eager to fight for. Many voted yesterday, and I know that many hearts are not happy with the results of the election. It is important as an artist (and as a human being) to keep fighting for the things we believe in!
During election times we are all bombarded with pressing political issues and at the same time we have the opportunity to look at the situation of things with perspective, inquiry and curiosity.
Why are things the way they are? Are we happy with the status quo? How can we come together to bring bout change? What can you do (with or without your art) to bring more positivity to the world?
As artists, I truly believe we hold so much power, because we are literally and figurative on platforms with our mouths open wide, with a chance to speak and be listened to.
What platform are you standing on? What does your platform represent? What do you believe in?
Here are the amazing PROTEST BANNERS from various artists from the “Protest Issue” of Under the Radar magazine.
